Your Wet Specimen has Arrived!

I get so many questions when it come to wet specimens and how to take care of them so I decided to put this little blog together. Please read through and let us know if you have other concerns.

Wet Specimen Instructions:

  • Rinse off any contaminates from specimen with 70% ethanol or isopropyl alcohol

  • Your specimen has been completely fixed/preserved so you just need to place it in an air tight jar that has enough room for your specimen to move around slightly

  • Fill with 70% ethanol or isopropyl alcohol completely

  • If evaporation occurs, simply top off with ethanol or alcohol

Glass Jars compared to plastic

  • GLASS!!!!! Plastic wears down after a while and if you are not familiar with the make up of the plastic, do not use it.

    We can ship glass to you but will not ship with the ethanol / alcohol as its dangerous and unfortunately illegal to she flammables through the mail unless properly licensed. We don’t have that license…
